Meet the author ๐Ÿ‘‹

You may be wondering what the heck is Heckerspace? ๐Ÿฆ Who's the creator of this beauty? ๐Ÿฆ‹ What type of content you'll find here? ๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ Allow me to provide the answers. ๐Ÿค“

I'm Lukas and I am a software engineer Hecker โœจ who has a slight obsession about simplicity, performance, and code cleanliness. I primarily work with Next.JS and Typescript but aside from React I enjoy playing with other cool kids such as Vue, Svelte or Astro. I love good design, 3D ๐ŸŒ , and smooth animations. ( Looking at you ThreeJS, ReactThreeFiber, Framer Motion ๐Ÿ‘€ )
I am currently working at LePolishBureau, a UNIT9 company.

I strive to find a balance between creating visually appealing experiences, like those found on Awwwards while keeping things simple, like the Giga Chad from the MotherFuckingWebsite.com ๐Ÿฆ„

How it all began ๐Ÿฅ

I actually never thought I'd be writing this blog post, but well, here I am ๐Ÿ™†.

This whole idea to build Heckerspace started during my trip to Greece ๐Ÿ๏ธ, right after a successful website launch at work ๐Ÿš€. Aside from typical holiday stuff I brought along a notebook ๐Ÿ“’, pen, and a copy of "You Don't Know JS" ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŽ’

Why? I simply enjoy the learning process and I knew that soon after my holidays I'd be leading of a whole dev team for Amazon project, so I was hyper-motivated to level up my game ๐Ÿ†™ . The goal was to learn the fundamentals inside out, so I can explain them with ease to anyone, anywhere, anytime ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ’ƒ.

โ€œIf you canโ€™t explain it simply, you donโ€™t understand it well enough.โ€
~ Albert Einstein ๐Ÿง

Shaping the idea ๐Ÿ’ก

Fine, I'm on a holidays ๐Ÿน, and I'm ready to rest learn๐Ÿ”ฎ. Where to start? maybe with my copy of YDKJS? Nope. Let's start from the basics: HTML, Semantics, and Accessibility โ™ฟ ~ Started from the bottom - Drake ๐ŸŽถ

I thought that I already knew "everything" ๐Ÿคฃ that I needed but oh boi, I have learned a ton! ๐Ÿค“ I thought to myself that those "boring" but crucial fundamental topics are quite often overlooked even by experienced developers. Why not write an article about it? ๐Ÿ’ก I could combine my learning process with sharing my insights with the community. Perfect! ๐ŸŽ‰

What kind of content you'll find here? ๐Ÿ“š

I'm constantly learning something new and while I'm at it, I'll share some juicy bits with you too ๐Ÿงƒ. Expect tips, tricks, small projects. I'll also write comparative analysis of different frameworks, libraries, and solutions in general. Basically, I'm gonna share all the stuff I wish I knew when I was first starting out.

Wish me luck, and let's code heck! ๐Ÿช„
